Mamacona: Paso Horse

Here is a beautiful video about the Mamacona Paso Horse.

Mamacona is a place where you can see the most beautiful shows with typical Peruvian dances, whilst eating dishes from Peru. The Paso horse was created in the time of the Barbaricans, by mating a spaniard mule with a Peruvian horse. This animal is unique because its manner of walking is more like dancing. When you mix that with the talent of our "chalanes" you will see a beautiful show of elegance and talent. Also you can see the bulls chasing the bufoons.

 

 

Delicious Chicharron

How to prepare Chicharron:

Ingredients:
● 2 kg of chopped pork (preferably ribs)
● 2 kg of boiled potatoes
● 2 kg of boiled corn
● 1 onion (cut into strips)
● mint
● salt

Preparation:

In a large heavy pot put 1 cup of water and place in the 2 kilos of pork.

Boil until the water has gone and the meat has begun to ooze its own fat.

Season with salt only. Stir constantly to make sure it is regularly browned.

Brown the sliced ​​boiled potatoes.

Serve with corn or corn mote, salad onions, potatoes golden and peppermint emblematic

You can served the chicharron with fried potatoes, boiled sweet potatoes or roasted corn.

Huaca Pucllana

Not even the years could affect the ancient  Huaca Pucllana, which has resisted many eartquakes because it is made of adobe. Huaca Pucllana has animals like llamas, ducks, guinea pigs and alpacas. It is located in Miraflores, Lima, Peru.

Lima culture built the pyramid, whicht is the most important part of Huaca Pucllana. It is about 26 metres tall and the archeologists have discovered that 2 cultures lived there. It has many rooms that don't have roofs and those were the ceremonial rooms. Huaca Pucllana has many types of fruits and vegetables like lucuma, quinua, aji and corn.
